Grand-Final ends in tough win to Red Hill. Red Hill elected to bowl first. Opening the bowling with a leg spinner and the all reliable PK. PK bowled 10 overs with figures of 1/14 and Michael Elleray 10 overs 2/27. the 20 over mark Balnarring were 3/42. Nobi Wood bowled his 10 picking up 1/55 and Andrew Di Gregorio 5 overs 2/26 the other bowler used was Rod Humphry who bowled without any luck. Balnarring finished off strong leaving us an honest run chase, chasing 7/161. Red Hill's innings could not have started any worse with Andrew Di Gregorio being bowled first ball of the innings. Scott Lavery went soon after for 7 and Nick Sweetman made 15. Michael Elleray 24 and the run machine of Shane Doherty went for 35. Nick Wood played a most mature innings and helped to steer us through for the win with an unbeaten 47no. Peter Klauer came and went for 2, which allowed the Captain Drew Tremayne come to the crease and make a blistering 21 to put us in front of the run rate. Rod Humphry was also not out at the end with 2 runs to his name. This was the second time Red Hill v Balnarring in the C3 Grand Final in the last four years.
